We're partnered with a venture-backed energy technology company solving one of the most consequential infrastructure problems in the country: rebuilding domestic capacity to produce nuclear fuel. Incubated inside a top-tier venture fund and backed by over a dozen leading VC firms, this is a lean, first-principles engineering team building the infrastructure behind a nuclear renaissance.

They're hiring a Network Engineer to take full ownership of the network infrastructure connecting their people, systems, and facilities, everything from fiber-connected multi-building networks to secure, air-gapped environments supporting engineering, manufacturing, and compute-intensive workloads. This is hands-on architecture and operations, not just maintenance of someone else's design.

What you'll own:

Designing and deploying enterprise and lab networks across multiple buildings and facilities. Architecting air-gapped and isolated networks with strict segmentation and access control. Working alongside systems and engineering teams to design and optimize HPC clusters and the network infrastructure that supports them. Configuring switching, routing, wireless, and firewall systems (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or Unifi). Managing fiber-based WAN connectivity between buildings and remote sites, plus VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and QoS. Integrating on-prem and cloud networking for hybrid Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. Deploying monitoring and alerting tools like PRTG, SolarWinds, Grafana, NetBox, or Datadog.

What they're looking for:

5+ years as a Network Engineer or similar, with proven experience designing and operating multi-building or campus networks. Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols, and network security. Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills, and comfort taking a project from architecture through hands-on implementation.

Bonus points for experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated environments (GCC High, FedRAMP), exposure to Zero Trust or SDN, or scripting with Python, Ansible, or PowerShell. Certifications like CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or JNCIP are a plus but not required.

This role does require flexibility for extended hours and occasional weekends given the pace of the build.
