Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Hardware Engineer role based in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls Area. The Hardware Engineer will design, develop, and test hardware components and systems for advanced storage and network connectivity products. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing circuit schematics, selecting and evaluating components, performing board-level bring-up, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware with firmware and software. The role involves troubleshooting hardware issues, conducting performance and reliability testing, and documenting design decisions, test results, and specifications. The engineer will also support design reviews, contribute to product improvements, and assist in ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Hardware Development and Computer Hardware, with experience in designing and supporting complex hardware systems.
- Proficiency in Circuit Design and Electronics Hardware Design, including schematic capture, PCB design workflows, and component selection.
- Experience with storage and networking interfaces (e.g., Fibre Channel, SAS, SATA, Ethernet, NVMe, Thunderbolt) is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with hardware test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators) and methodologies for validation and debugging.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment, communicate clearly, and document designs and test procedures effectively.
- Knowledge of industry standards, EMC/EMI considerations, and reliability testing is a plus.
- Experience in data center, cloud, or high-performance storage environments is advantageous.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (BSEE or BSCE)
Five to Seven years experience
Strong understanding of electrical systems design principles including schematics creation.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to hardware production.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
