We are looking for a generalist IT Operations Engineer who can independently handle daily operational tasks. The role focuses on the stable operation, monitoring, and security maintenance of existing on-premise and cloud (AWS/Azure) infrastructure. The emphasis is on business continuity, proactive monitoring, and close collaboration with team members.

Responsibilities

  • DevOps Tools Operation

Operation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, source code repositories, artifact repositories, proxy servers, project management and communication platforms; including updates and host maintenance.

  • Security / SecOps

Regular monitoring of SIEM events, reporting of vulnerability scanning tools (network and application level), maintenance of SAST/DAST tools, firewall blacklist and host exposure checks, cloud security group audits, endpoint patch management reporting.

  • Infrastructure Operations

Maintenance of virtualization environments (hosts, templates, updates), operation of storage systems, maintenance of network devices (routers, wireless), management of VPN solutions, NAS operation. Basic cloud infrastructure checks (AWS, Azure).

  • Monitoring & Daily Checks

Regular checks of monitoring systems, network authentication, document management systems, virtualization and inventory systems. Tracking service desk tickets and email monitoring.

  • Office / Asset Management

Inventory management of IT assets, stock control, maintenance and charging of storage devices, printer checks, and physical document handling.

  • Administration / Other

Regular planning and status meetings. Time tracking in internal systems. Collaboration with team members on monitoring and office-related tasks (shared responsibilities).

EXPECTATION

Experience

2–5 years of experience in IT operations / system administration

Virtualization

VMware vSphere environment operation (VM creation, templates, snapshots, updates)

Linux

Linux server administration (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL) — most operated applications are Linux-based

Cloud

Basic knowledge of AWS and Azure (EC2/VMs, Security Groups, basic networking, cost monitoring)

Networking

Basic networking knowledge (Mikrotik/Cambium/Sophos, VPN, firewall rules, DNS)

Monitoring

Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix)

Security Fundamentals

Basic IT security mindset: patch management, vulnerability scanning concepts, SIEM log interpretation

Office Presence

Office presence is flexible and determined by the nature of the tasks. While there is no fixed requirement for on-site attendance, occasional presence in the office may be necessary depending on specific responsibilities and business needs.

Languages

Hungarian, English (professional working)

Nice to Have

  • CI/CD pipeline knowledge (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Docker / container basics (Nexus Docker registry management)
  • SIEM experience (Wazuh, Splunk or similar)
  • Vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Greenbone/OpenVAS)
  • SAST/DAST tools (SonarQube, Burp Suite)
  • Storage systems (EMC Unity, QNAP NAS)
  • Jira / Confluence usage
  • Security awareness platforms (e.g., KnowBe4)

Estimated Task Distribution (Monthly)

  • DevOps application maintenance ~35% — maintenance cycle of ~16 applications
  • Security / SecOps ~25% — SIEM, vulnerability scanning, patch reporting, firewall checks
  • Monitoring & daily checks ~20% — Zabbix, Uptime Kuma, Service Desk, email monitoring
  • Infrastructure (VMware/Cloud/Network) ~10% — VM updates, cloud infra checks, network devices
  • Office / administration ~10% — asset management, inventory, meetings, planning

Your Responsibilities As a Tech Lead

  • Lead the design and development of mobile applications with a strong focus on quality and modern engineering practices.
  • Contribute to and supervise architectural decisions for projects.
  • Drive key technical choices and ensure alignment with long‑term technical strategy.
  • Mentor and guide engineers at various seniority levels.
  • Conduct code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions.
  • Define development roadmaps and contribute to technology direction across the company.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams (UX, backend, QA).
  • Solve complex technical challenges and support transparent, predictable delivery.

Requirements (Must Have)

Core Technical Skills

  • Experience with React Native — able to design, develop, review, and lead React Native‑based projects.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with the React ecosystem (Redux, Zustand, MobX, Jotai, etc.).
  • Experience integrating REST APIs or GraphQL.
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes in mobile development (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise).
  • Basic understanding of iOS and Android environments, build tools, and release processes.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Solid architectural mindset and ability to design scalable solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading or mentoring software engineers.
  • Ownership mentality, proactive problem‑solving, and ability to drive decisions.

Nice to Have

Related or Adjacent Technologies

  • Native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) experience.
  • Knowledge of modern data libraries like React Query or SWR.
  • Web frontend development experience (e.g., React, Next.js).

Complementary Skill Sets

  • Experience with other cross‑platform technologies (Flutter, Xamarin, Kotlin Multiplatform).
  • Mobile security knowledge (OWASP MASVS).
  • Mobile UI test automation (Detox, Appium).
  • DevOps or infrastructure experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
