About the Job:
We are looking for a (Lead) NOC Engineer / Senior Network Operations Engineer with fluent Russian & English to join our Network Operations team.
In this role, you will work with production ISP networks, perform hands-on troubleshooting, assist in planned network changes and collaborate closely with senior engineers, NOC and external vendors.
What you’ll do:
- Rapid identification, diagnosis, and resolution of L2/L3 network incidents.
- Configuration and maintenance of customer services: BGP, VLAN/QinQ, L2VPN.
- Interaction with external providers and upstream carriers.
- Collaboration with monitoring and technical support teams.
- Ticket escalation, tracking of service status and link availability.
- Change management, technical documentation, and participation in on-call rotation.
- Professional communication with internal teams, management, customers/providers in English and Russian.
- Participation in network stability, scalability, and modernization initiatives.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of hands-on network infrastructure operations experience.
- Strong routing and switching background.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista or similar network equipment.
- Practical understanding of DWDM architecture, operating principles, and automation.
- Strong knowledge of BGP, routing policies, BGP communities.
- Knowledge of Segment Routing.
- Experience with DDoS mitigation: Flowspec, traffic scrubbing.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting experience in production networks.
- Scripting/automation skills: Python, Bash, or similar.
- Understanding of network security principles and data protection methods.
- Fluent Russian, Conversational English.
Nice to have:
- Degree in IT, telecommunications, or related field.
- Experience with large-scale network infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies/tools.
- Experience optimizing and modernizing network environments.
- Experience mentoring or leading network engineers/NOC specialists.
- Strong continuous learning mindset.
