We are looking for: Field Application Engineer
Job Description:
- Independently handle complex software and hardware technical support for 2G/3G/4G/5G, MmWave, CAT-M, NB-IoT, GNSS, and Wi-Fi modules.
- Take ownership of platform-specific technical issues, coordinating communication with customers and internal teams to drive issue resolution and process optimization.
- Provide technical support to customers during evaluation, design-in, integration, testing, and production phases.
- Analyze customer issues, reproduce them in the laboratory when necessary, and collaborate with R&D and Product teams to identify root causes and deliver timely solutions.
- Provide on-site technical support, including troubleshooting customer issues and coordinating communication between internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for customers, distributors, and internal teams.
- Create and maintain application notes, test reports, and technical support documentation. Monitor field issues, identify trends, and communicate customer feedback to internal teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge and best practices within the team.
- Partner closely with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering teams to ensure successful customer projects and communicate market requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with business needs and the scope of the position.
Requirements and preferable skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Field Application Engineering, technical support, embedded systems, wireless communications, or IoT technologies.
- Good understanding of cellular communication technologies, including LTE, 5G, LPWA, CAT-M, NB-IoT, GNSS, and Wi-Fi.
- Experience supporting hardware and software integration, debugging, and troubleshooting of embedded or wireless communication products.
- Familiarity with AT commands, serial communication tools, firmware upgrades, and module configuration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel for customer support when required.
