Siemens Mobility Thailand is looking for a Section Manager- Telecommunication/SCADA Maintenance in Bangkok office.
This is your role. What part will you play?
You will be responsible for management and supervision the Shift Leaders, Engineers, Technician and Workers, who are employed within the Telecommunication/SCADA Maintenance as well as any temporary personnel within this section.
The key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Leadership & Daily Operations
- Lead and supervise daily maintenance operations, including allocation of resources, oversight of maintenance activities, and coordination of incident response, troubleshooting, and system recovery.
- Manage and direct the performance of Shift Leaders, Engineers, Technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality execution of maintenance work.
- Ensure high operational reliability and availability of telecommunication and SCADA systems across stations, OCC, depots, and onboard installations (if applicable).
- Perform failure trend analysis and ensure systematic root cause identification is carried out within the team.
- Analyze system performance using maintenance data, network logs, and fault trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance system stability and service availability.
- Identify critical spare parts requirements based on reliability analysis and system performance needs.
- Develop, implement, and maintain technical management systems for telecommunications and network infrastructure, including workflows, configuration control, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements and applicable standards for all telecommunications and network systems.
- Manage technical obsolescence by identifying obsolete subsystems and developing mitigation or replacement strategies.
- Manage maintenance budgets and optimize resource allocation to achieve reliability and performance targets.
- Oversee maintenance documentation and asset records, including network diagrams, configuration databases, technical documentation, and spare parts inventory.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to discuss technical issues, propose solutions (including obsolescence management and system upgrades), and align on improvement initiatives.
- Develop team competency and capability by identifying skill gaps, organizing training programs (including OEM training), and ensuring relevant certifications.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring all team members adhere to safety standards and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or related field, with strong knowledge of communications systems and network infrastructure.
- Proven experience in managing maintenance operations for communications, networking, or IT systems, including configuration control and cybersecurity compliance.
- Leadership and team development skills, with the ability to plan, supervise, and enhance staff competency through training and certification programs.
- Technical proficiency in LAN/WAN, switches, routers, servers, and PID systems, with strong troubleshooting and incident response capabilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability, capable of interpreting system logs, fault trends, and performance data to implement reliability and optimization measures.
- Excellent command of spoken and written Thai; good proficiency in English communication.
