Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer - German speaking role

We're supporting a well-established technology business looking to strengthen its internal IT team with an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working across enterprise infrastructure, taking ownership of servers, virtualisation, networking and core IT services. You'll play a key role in maintaining a stable, secure and highly available IT environment while supporting the ongoing development of the company's infrastructure.

If you're someone who prefers solving complex infrastructure challenges rather than working in a cloud-first or helpdesk environment, this could be an excellent opportunity.

What you'll be doing

• Managing and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure
• Configuring and supporting LAN, WLAN and VLAN environments
• Administering VMware-based virtualisation platforms
• Supporting Linux and Windows server environments
• Managing backup and recovery solutions
• Troubleshooting server, storage and network issues
• Supporting virtual infrastructure and business-critical systems
• Maintaining high availability across the company's internal IT landscape
• Participating in infrastructure improvements and lifecycle projects
• Providing hands-on technical support for on-premise systems

What we're looking for

You'll have strong commercial experience across most of the following:

• Enterprise networking (HPE, Aruba or similar)
• VMware vSphere
• Proxmox virtualisation
• Windows Server administration
• Debian or comparable Linux distributions
• Enterprise backup technologies (Veeam preferred)
• Network technologies including LAN, WLAN and VLAN
• General infrastructure troubleshooting across servers, virtualisation and networking

You'll be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of technical issues, and contributing to a collaborative internal IT team.
