Working under the direction of IT and project leadership, you will collaborate with Engineering, Facilities, Automation, Quality, Global IT Operations, vendors, and project teams. Your primary objective is to ensure that infrastructure is delivered safely, securely, compliantly, and in accordance with approved standards and project requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for escalating decisions, risks, and approvals through the appropriate project, IT, and quality governance channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vendor Compliance: Monitor ICT vendor activities, support site coordination, and raise concerns or deviations. You must verify that work is completed in line with the agreed scope, safety requirements, documentation standards, and approved technical specifications.
  • Construction Support: Participate in construction walk-downs, identify installation defects, manage snag lists, and verify completion prior to final acceptance.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation. This includes asset records, rack layouts, patching records, test evidence, as-built drawings, commissioning records, handover packs, and applicable ServiceNow-related information.
  • Project Governance: Participate in Tiered meetings, manage infrastructure risks, issues, and actions, and provide regular status updates to project leadership.
  • IT Room and Asset Standards: Maintain good housekeeping, access discipline, labelling, environmental monitoring, cable management, asset traceability, and quality standards within IT rooms, MDFs, DFs, IDFs, and server spaces.
  • Technical Implementation: Support the installation, configuration, commissioning, verification, documentation, and handover of infrastructure services, including network, server, storage, cabling, Wi-Fi, IT room, and related ICT components.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: A Degree, diploma, trade qualification, or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Infrastructure, Electrical/ICT systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure, ICT deployment, data centre, network, server room, or regulated manufacturing infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Practical experience with structured cabling, rack builds, patching, network hardware, server hardware, Wi-Fi infrastructure, asset management, and technical documentation.
  • Safety & Compliance: The ability to strictly follow approved procedures, standards, drawings, method statements, and project instructions while working safely in construction, commissioning, or operational environments.
  • Core IT Knowledge: A strong understanding of LAN/WAN, VLANs, switching, routing, Active Directory, ITIL practices, change control, and incident management principles.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder coordination, and problem-solving skills. You must possess high attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving project environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience working in pharmaceutical, GMP, GxP, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Direct experience supporting FAT, SAT, installation verification, commissioning packs, construction turnover packs, vendor turnover packs, or operational handover documentation.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of ServiceNow, CMDB, asset lifecycle management, change management, and supplier follow-up processes.
