Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer (Level 3) to join a growing and dynamic team. This is a hands-on role combining project delivery, advanced technical support, and presales consultancy across modern networking and security technologies.

The position suits a candidate with strong expertise in enterprise firewall technologies and SASE platforms, alongside a proven ability to design, implement, and support complex solutions.

Key Responsibilities Project Delivery

• Design, configure, and implement secure network and security solutions
• Lead deployments of firewalls, VPNs, and SASE platforms across client environments
• Ensure solutions are scalable, high-performing, and compliant with best practices

Support & Operations

• Act as the Level 3 escalation point for complex technical issues
• Perform proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimisation of security infrastructure
• Conduct root cause analysis and produce detailed post-incident reports

Presales & Consultancy

• Support sales teams with technical scoping, solution design, and proposals
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, and technical presentations
• Provide guidance on emerging networking and security trends

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing
• Stay up to date with new technologies, certifications, and product developments

Skills & Experience Essential

• Minimum 5 years' experience in network and security engineering
• Hands-on expertise with:
• Palo Alto Networks
• Fortinet
• SonicWall firewalls
• Strong knowledge of SASE platforms (e.g. Cato Networks, Versa)
• Solid understanding of:
• Routing & switching
• VPN technologies
• SD-WAN
• Cloud networking
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end enterprise solutions
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to act as final escalation point

Desirable

• Presales or consultancy experience in enterprise or MSP environments
• Exposure to SIEM, SOC, or endpoint security solutions
• Relevant certifications (e.g. PCNSE, NSE4/7, CCNP Security, SASE certifications)
• Experience with Azure or AWS networking/security

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Industry certifications highly advantageous
