What We Will Trust You With

As a Senior System Engineer for Optical Transport, you will play a critical role in the design, planning, and optimization of our high-performance optical transport infrastructure. Leveraging your deep expertise in DWDM Technology, OTN (Optical Transport Network), and Transport Network Architecture, you will be responsible for ensuring the robustness, scalability, and efficiency of our network. Your day-to-day will involve leading system engineering activities, complex troubleshooting, managing network planning and capacity, and engaging with vendors to drive technical solutions. In addition, you will support RFQ activities by translating network requirements into clear technical specifications, contributing to vendor evaluation criteria, assessing supplier proposals, and ensuring that selected solutions meet architectural, operational, scalability, and lifecycle requirements. We expect you to bring strong skills in analyzing and resolving optical transport faults, understanding link budgets, and ensuring network resilience. Furthermore, your ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and potentially leverage Test-Automation (e.g., Python) will be key to evolving our cutting-edge transport networks.

Must-Have Skills

What You Will Need

• Solid experience in agile project management and product thinking methodologies
• Professional stakeholder management (e.g., with vendors, partners) combined with excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Experience in technical leadership within complex international technical projects
• Experience with effective Vendor Management
• Strong expertise in DWDM Technology
• In-depth knowledge of OTN (Optical Transport Network)
• Proven experience with Transport Network Architecture
• Solid skills in System Engineering principles
• Proficient in Network Planning and Capacity Management
• Demonstrated ability in Complex Troubleshooting

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with OTN, MPLS-TP, or IP/optical integration
• Familiarity with network management systems and performance monitoring tools
• Exposure to lab validation, proof of concept testing, or interoperability testing
• Experience documenting solutions, procedures, or handover materials
• Solid experience in Test-Automation
• Experienced in leveraging AI-based tools in day-to-day work
