Executive Summary: HRUCKUS is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of a large-scale enterprise network environment.
Position Description: This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, cloud connectivity, and DMZ architecture. The ideal candidate has strong enterprise networking experience and is comfortable working across network engineering and security disciplines in a highly available, change-controlled production environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN technologies.
- Configure and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, routing, switching, and network segmentation.
- Administer and troubleshoot enterprise firewall platforms, with a strong emphasis on Palo Alto Firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs, and rule management.
- Configure and support enterprise load balancing solutions (F5, Citrix ADC, or similar) to optimize application performance and availability.
- Design and maintain secure DMZ environments supporting internal and external-facing applications.
- Support hybrid cloud networking initiatives, including secure connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, and implement proactive improvements.
- Partner with network, infrastructure, and security teams to support production deployments, upgrades, and change management activities.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning for enterprise networking.
- Perform network documentation, standards development, and configuration management.
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements to increase reliability, scalability, and security.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of enterprise Network Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus OS and Spine-Leaf network architecture.
- Experience supporting enterprise Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP IP, VLANs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPN technologies, and DNS.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls in an enterprise environment.
- Experience configuring and supporting enterprise load balancers such as F5 or Citrix ADC.
- Experience designing and supporting DMZ architectures.
- Experience implementing cloud connectivity solutions, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of enterprise network security principles including Access Control, Authentication, Encryption, and IDS IPS.
- Experience working within large enterprise production environments using formal change management processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Experience supporting financial services or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
- Experience with network automation or infrastructure-as-code is a plus.
