About the Role:

As a Senior Network Support Engineer (L3), you will serve as a technical expert within our team, responsible for advanced troubleshooting, documentation, and infrastructure optimization. You will play a pivotal role in resolving complex network issues, coordinating with vendors, and driving improvements across our data center and enterprise network environments. This position offers opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and working on cutting-edge networking projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues escalated from L1 and L2 teams, ensuring rapid issue resolution within SLA commitments.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation including SOPs, process flows, and root cause analyses.
  • Collaborate with vendors for bug fixes, firmware upgrades, and hardware/software enhancements.
  • Drive P1/P2 incident bridge calls, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure swift recovery and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity planning, and implement performance tuning strategies.
  • Identify infrastructure gaps and challenges; provide strategic recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
  • Support network architecture design, implementation, and maintenance for large-scale data centers and WAN/LAN environments.
  • Maintain expertise on network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
  • Enforce change management policies and collaborate with cross-functional teams for configuration updates and upgrades.
  • Liaise with vendors and internal teams for problem resolution and technical escalation.
  • Mentor junior team members and facilitate knowledge sharing.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) with lab (a must)
  • Proven expertise in routing, switching, and convergence technologies (QOS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, STP, VRRP)- must
  • Hands-on experience with Nexus 7k/9k, Cisco 6500 series, ASR/ISR routers, Cisco WAAS, and ACS
  • Proficiency in Aruba Wireless, Nexus, Brocade, Arista, HP/Extreme network switches, and load balancers (Riverbed, Netscaler)
  • Strong knowledge of network monitoring and diagnostic tools (Solarwinds, NetFlow, packet captures)
  • Experience with network documentation tools such as Visio
  • Familiarity with services such as DC, DNS/DHCP, VPN, and client connectivity
  • Expertise in deploying and troubleshooting network security features and configurations
  • Experience in data center, WAN, wireless, and site network management
  • Proficiency with ticketing tools like ServiceNow and change management policies
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to HCL policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to HCL policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off (PTO) per year (some positions are eligible for unlimited PTO); and 10 paid holidays per year.
