Job Description
The Senior– Systems & Cybersecurity Infrastructure provides advanced technical expertise in maintaining, securing, and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, virtualization platforms, and endpoint security solutions. The role is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, performance, and security of the organization's IT environment through proactive monitoring, incident response, vulnerability remediation, and implementation of cybersecurity best practices. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently on complex technical issues, and close collaboration with the Infrastructure Lead in delivering secure and resilient IT infrastructure projects.
Job Specification
Education • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in network, systems, and infrastructure administration, including exposure to cybersecurity operations. Preferred Certifications • Cisco CCNA or CCNP • Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent • Ethical Hacking, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security, or other cybersecurity certifications are an advantage.
Technical Skills
• Basic knowledge of enterprise networking technologies (LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, VPN, wireless networks, and firewalls).
• Administration of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, virtualization platforms, and storage systems.
• Experience with endpoint protection, antivirus/EDR solutions, email security, and security hardening.
• Knowledge of vulnerability assessment, security patch management, system hardening, and configuration management.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity technologies. • Familiarity with SIEM, log analysis, security monitoring, and incident investigation is desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for servers, storage, networking, and cybersecurity-related incidents. • Familiar with infrastructure monitoring, ticketing, and ITSM platforms (e.g., ManageEngine ServiceDesk).

Duties
• Provide advanced technical support for enterprise servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and network infrastructure.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, availability, and security using monitoring and security tools.
• Administer firewalls, VPN connectivity, endpoint protection, and network access controls.
• Perform system hardening, vulnerability remediation, security patching, and configuration reviews in accordance with cybersecurity best practices.
• Investigate infrastructure alerts, security events, and operational incidents, escalating where appropriate.
• Support backup operations, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity initiatives.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and cybersecurity improvement projects.
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure Lead and cross-functional teams to implement secure infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
• Maintain a highly available, secure, and reliable IT infrastructure.
• Resolve complex infrastructure and cybersecurity-related technical issues.
• Ensure timely execution of security patches, firmware updates, backups, and preventive maintenance.
• Support compliance with organizational cybersecurity policies, IT governance, regulatory requirements, and audit controls.
• Assist in implementing security standards, access controls, least-privilege principles, and infrastructure hardening.
• Monitor infrastructure logs and security events to identify potential threats and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members and end users.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to infrastructure performance, security, automation, and operational efficiency.
