As part of the Global IT organization, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and monitoring Sulzer global network services
Key Responsabilities
- Network Administration & Operations:
- Design, configure, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers).
- Implement network segmentation, VLANs, and routing protocols for optimal performance.
- Monitor network health, set up alerts, and proactively troubleshoot latency or connectivity issues.
- Ensure high availability and redundancy through proper failover and disaster recovery strategies.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation for compliance and operational efficiency.
- Vulnerability Management:
- Identify and assess network-related security vulnerabilities using industry-standard tools.
- Prioritize remediation efforts, apply patches, and validate fixes to maintain compliance with security policies.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce network hardening and access control measures.
- Support:
- Provide Level 2/3 support for complex network issues and escalations.
- Take ownership of critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis. Maintain detailed troubleshooting guides and knowledge base for network operations.
- Project & Continuous Improvement:
- Lead or contribute to network infrastructure projects, including upgrades and new deployments.
- Perform testing and validation for new network implementations to ensure stability and compliance.
- Drive automation and optimization initiatives to improve network efficiency and reduce downtime.
- 3–5 years of experience managing Global Network Services, including LAN/WAN/WiFi environments. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Strong technical background in global network services, network automation, and security‑driven projects (e.g., LAN/WAN segmentation).
- Proactive, flexible, reliable, and solution‑oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical abilities and effective communication skills.
- Team‑oriented with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Fluent in English
