Skills And Competencies
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager or Ansible platform
- Strong knowledge of vulnerability management, server patch management processes and industry best practices
- Proficiency using vulnerability management platforms, including Qualys, to track, monitor and support remediation activities
- Experience maintaining and supporting Windows Server environments, with Linux server experience desired
- Ability to validate and troubleshoot configuration baselines, patch deployment issues and server agent-related issues
- Proficiency in data analysis, dashboard monitoring, reporting and communicating remediation status to stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with application and server asset owners
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges.
- Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar server patching, vulnerability remediation or systems engineering role
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft Configuration Manager, Ansible, Qualys, PowerShell or related technologies are preferred
- Manage server patching and vulnerability remediation to help maintain secure, reliable and compliant technology environments.
- Manage and maintain the security baseline of the organization’s server footprint across on-premises and cloud environments
- Develop, implement and manage server patch management processes to support timely application of security patches and updates
- Validate and troubleshoot configuration baselines to help maintain server security, performance and reliability
- Implement and manage vulnerability management processes, ensuring identified vulnerabilities are tracked and remediated promptly
- Monitor dashboards and reporting tools to analyze patch management and vulnerability remediation data
- Report on patch compliance and vulnerability remediation status, providing regular updates to management and stakeholders
- Collaborate with information technology, security, application and server asset owner teams to prioritize and close vulnerability-related actions
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency, reliability and remediation outcomes
- Troubleshoot server patching and automation agent issues to support successful deployment of patches and compliance targets
- Support planned maintenance, vulnerability remediation activities, security initiatives and operational priorities within the assigned shift structure, including occasional weekend support or participation in a rotational on-call program based on business need
