About Align Broadband:
We’re Align Broadband, a locally owned and operated internet service provider bringing better broadband to neighborhoods across Baltimore and MD. We build and maintain internet infrastructure for homes, businesses, and event spaces — and we do it with speed, skill, and service that outshines the big guys.
We’re growing fast and looking for a Field Network Technician(s) to join our team. If you know your way around Ethernet, fiber, and wireless gear — and you enjoy solving problems out in the field — this might be the role for you.
What You’ll Do:
As a Field Network Technician, you’ll be hands-on in the installation and support of our network infrastructure. That means:
- Running and terminating Cat5/Cat6 cabling in residential and commercial spaces
- Splicing fiber optic cable using fusion or mechanical techniques
- Installing and configuring wireless access points and ensuring optimal signal coverage
- Setting up and tuning network equipment including routers, switches, and controllers
- Deploying and aligning point-to-point wireless radios to bridge buildings or deliver service to off-grid locations
- Troubleshooting network issues and maintaining performance standards across all deployments
You’ll work closely with our operations team to ensure installs are clean, reliable, and well-documented. This is a field-based role, so expect to be out and about — sometimes on rooftops, sometimes in basements, always solving real-world challenges.
Who You Are:
- You have 5+ years of experience in low voltage installation, network wiring, or related field work
- You know how to terminate cables, splice fiber, and configure wireless hardware
- You’re comfortable with technical documentation and following structured installation plans
- You can work independently, communicate clearly, and prioritize safety
- Bonus points if you’ve worked with gear from Ubiquiti, MikroTik, Cambium, Cisco, or similar
You Should Be Comfortable With:
- Working on ladders and rooftops
- Navigating active job sites and existing buildings
- Interacting professionally with building managers, clients, and team members
Why Join Us:
- Be part of a team that’s reshaping connectivity in MD — with real community impact
- Work on diverse, hands-on projects with modern gear and room to grow
- Competitive pay with opportunities for long-term advancement
