Infrastructure Engineer

Why we need this role

This position is responsible for supporting the expansion, modification, and optimization of infrastructure. It involves coordinating with various data center providers and third parties to procure rack space and power for equipment that forms Colt’s infrastructure. In addition, this role includes arranging equipment for Colt’s infrastructure as well as coordinating with external vendors to execute on-site installation work. This is a critical role that supports Colt’s core network.

具体的には、Coltのインフラを構成する機器を設置するために、複数のデータセンター事業者や外部パートナーと連携し、ラックスペースや電力の調達・確保を行います。また、インフラ機器の手配に加え、現地での設置作業を実施するために外部ベンダーとの調整・管理も担当します。

Coltの基幹ネットワークを支える重要なポジションであり、インフラ設備の安定的な構築・運用を通じて、事業の成長とネットワーク品質の維持向上に貢献する役割を担います。

What you will do

• Design and manage datacenter capacity (space, power, etc.), maintain inventory levels, produce capacity reports.
• Plan, order, and implement infrastructure and network devices—including racks, power, cabling, patch panels, and network hardware—while coordinating execution with field implementation teams.
• Trigger COLO capacity requests for space/power, track approvals and vendor delivery timelines to support operational and project requirements.
• Support datacenter/COLO consolidation, footprint and power optimization efforts, network expansions and site exit activities.
• Arrange equipment for Colt’s infrastructure as well as coordinating with external vendors to execute on-site installation work.
• Prepare financial forecasts, cost estimates and business cases for new infrastructure, capacity expansions.
• データセンターの収容能力（スペース、電力など）の設計・管理を行い、適正在庫レベルの維持およびキャパシティレポートの作成を担当する。
• ラック、電源設備、ケーブリング、パッチパネル、ネットワーク機器などのインフラおよびネットワーク機器の計画・調達・導入を行い、現地導入チームと連携して実装を推進する。
• データセンター（コロケーション施設）のスペースおよび電力確保に関する申請を行い、承認状況やベンダーの納期を管理しながら、運用およびプロジェクト要件をサポートする。
• データセンター／コロケーション施設の統合、設備配置の最適化、省電力化施策、ネットワーク拡張、および拠点閉鎖プロジェクトを支援する。
• Coltのインフラを構成する機器の手配を行うとともに、外部ベンダーと連携し、現地での設置作業の調整・管理を担当する。
• 新規インフラ導入や設備増強に向けた財務予測、コスト見積もり、および投資判断のためのビジネスケース作成を行う。
