MIS Engineer

Network Infrastructure

• Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and VPN environments
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.)
• Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability using SNMP/SIEM tools
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and resolve network incidents within SLA timeframes
• Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions

• Administer Windows Server / Linux environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Maintain and optimize databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) supporting MIS applications
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for management decision-making
• Manage user access controls, identity management, and license compliance

• Implement and enforce network security policies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and patch management
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS) as applicable
• Respond to and document security incidents; lead root-cause analysis and remediation

• Maintain accurate network diagrams, asset inventories, and technical documentation
• Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and cloud solutions
• Lead or participate in IT projects including system rollouts, office expansions, and cloud migrations

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, or related field
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and/or MIS administration
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid networking preferred

• Networking: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, QoS, IPv6
• Security: Firewall administration, VPN (IPSec/SSL), Zero-Trust concepts
• Systems: Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), VMware/Hyper-V
• MIS/Data: SQL
• Monitoring: Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Splunk, or similar
• Scripting: Python, PowerShell, Bash for automation and reporting
• Hardware: experienced in hard drive backup and hardware specs selection

• CCNA / CCNP
• CompTIA Network+ / Security+
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or equivalent
• ITIL Foundation
