The Division of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse is looking for an Information Technology Specialist (ITS) I – this is an opportunity highly qualified applicants should not miss.
Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager (ITM) I, Division of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse (DMFEA), the incumbent acts as the full journey-level analyst, Client Support Specialist; and performs a variety of hands-on technical activities to support the endpoint devices, hardware, both client-side applications and cloud software as a solution (SaaS) utilized by DMFEA.
Responsibilities May Include But Are Not Limited To
- Endpoint & Hardware Maintenance: Diagnose, repair, and deploy end-user hardware, including fixing broken laptops, displays, component replacements, and peripheral setup.
- System Imaging & Deployment: Configure and image division personal laptops using standardized enterprise deployment tools to ensure baseline compliance.
- Identity & Access Management: Manage user profiles, group memberships, and computer objects within Active Directory (AD)/Entra ID.
- Remote Support: Provide comprehensive tier-2 technical troubleshooting by remotely accessing user laptops to resolve operating system and application issues.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM): Set up, provision, and maintain government-issued iOS devices (iPhones/iPads) using MDM policies and security standards.
- Local Network (LAN) Support: Assist with local area network troubleshooting, including verifying physical network drops, patch cables, and basic connectivity issues.
- Procurement & SOW Assistance: Identify endpoint hardware and software purchasing needs, research technical specifications, and assist with drafting Statements of Work (SOWs) for vendor procurement.
- Application Troubleshooting: Act as the journey-level lead for troubleshooting and maintaining client-side functionality of the investigative case management tools as multiple productivity software solutions.
