Network technician

Installs, configures, and troubleshoots campus and remote-site network cabling infrastructure, including various LAN equipment and related software.
Uses a ticketing/tracking system to log support requests, monitor progress, and ensure timely problem resolution.
Tracks recurring issues, analyzes failure patterns, researches fixes, and implements effective solutions. Communicates regularly with management regarding unresolved or critical technical issues.
Collaborates with Network Engineers in designing, developing, and implementing network infrastructure.
Supports Network Engineers in resolving technical issues to ensure smooth end-user computing operations.
Requirements and Skills:
Diploma (Higher Diploma) in Computer Technology, Information Technology, or equivalent recognized certifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in:
- Network installation and operation
- Computer systems maintenance
- Operating systems (Microsoft & Linux – all versions)
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in:
- Network cabling (Cabling)
- Working with all cable types:
- Copper
- UTP
- Fiber
- Minimum 2 years of experience in:
- Low Current Systems
- Electrical installations
- Power generators
- UPS systems
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science / IT or related field
- Arabic
- English
