Build a SOC from the ground up.

We're working with a growing technology business that's launching a brand-new 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Network Operations Centre (NOC) after securing a major body of work. If you're looking for another job where you'll inherit years of legacy processes and simply monitor alerts, this probably isn't it.

If you want to help build something from the beginning, develop your cyber security career and be part of a business that's investing heavily in its people, keep reading.

You'll be joining the team right at the start of its journey.

Initially, you'll be responsible for monitoring alerts, triaging incidents, communicating with customers and escalating issues to the appropriate technical teams.

As the SOC/NOC grows, so will the role. There will be genuine opportunities to broaden your experience across cyber security, cloud and infrastructure while helping shape how the service operates.

We're open to speaking with people from a range of technical backgrounds, including:

  • SOC Analyst
  • NOC Analyst
  • Infrastructure Engineer
  • Network Engineer
  • 2nd / 3rd Line Support
  • Technical Support Engineer
  • Cyber Security Analyst

You'll ideally have around two years' commercial experience, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be confident speaking with customers when incidents occur.

Experience with security monitoring tools, networking or Check Point technologies would be beneficial, but we're just as interested in attitude, communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Candidates must be eligible to undergo UK security clearance.

There are plenty of SOC roles on the market but very few give you the chance to help build the function from day one. This business has a fantastic reputation for developing people. Several of its technical leaders started in junior positions before progressing into Cloud, AI, Cyber Security and Leadership roles.

You'll also receive:

  • £32,000-£37,000 basic salary
  • 20% shift allowance
  • Private healthcare
  • Unlimited annual leave
  • Fully funded Microsoft certifications and technical training
  • Clear progression opportunities
  • The chance to work alongside experienced Cloud, Cyber and Infrastructure teams

Working Pattern - predominantly office-based working on a 4 on 4 off rotating 12-hour days and nights

Whether you're already working in a SOC or you're looking to make the move from infrastructure, networking or technical support into cyber security operations, I'd love to have a confidential chat.
