Job Description – Junior Network Engineer

Location: Bhiwandi, Maharashtra

Experience: Freshers – 1 Year

Budget: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic Junior Network Engineers to support and maintain our IT infrastructure, networking systems, security solutions, and CCTV infrastructure across our office and factory locations. This role is ideal for freshers with a CCNA certification or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who are eager to build their careers in networking and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Network & Firewall Support

• Assist in configuring and monitoring FortiGate firewalls.
• Support VPN connectivity (Site-to-Site and Remote Access).
• Coordinate with ISPs for internet connectivity and issue resolution.
• Monitor firewall logs and report basic network issues.
• Support LAN, WAN, VLAN, switches, and Wi-Fi infrastructure.

IT Infrastructure Support

• Assist in setting up network infrastructure for office and factory locations.
• Support installation of network racks, switches, patch panels, structured cabling, and wireless access points.
• Coordinate with vendors during installation and implementation activities.

CCTV & Surveillance Support

• Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of IP CCTV systems.
• Support IP cameras, NVRs, and CCTV network connectivity.
• Troubleshoot basic camera and recording-related issues.

User & Technical Support

• Provide first-level technical support for network, internet, VPN, and Wi-Fi issues.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Support remote users and branch offices.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers when required.

Monitoring & Documentation

• Monitor network devices and internet connectivity.
• Maintain network diagrams, IP address records, asset inventory, and CCTV layouts.
• Track IT assets, network devices, and surveillance equipment.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
• Understanding of LAN, WAN, VLAN, switching, and routing concepts.
• Basic knowledge of VPN technologies.
• Basic understanding of firewalls (FortiGate knowledge is an advantage).
• Knowledge of structured cabling and network rack infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of IP CCTV systems and NVRs.
• Hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in the networking domain.

Educational Qualification

• BCA / MCA
• B.Tech / M.Tech (Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field)
• Diploma in Computer Engineering or Information Technology
• Any equivalent qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology

Preferred Certification

• CCNA Certification (Mandatory for Freshers)
• CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent networking/security certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Freshers with a valid CCNA certification are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with up to 1 year of experience in Network Support, IT Infrastructure, Helpdesk, or Technical Support may also apply.
• Internship or project experience in networking will be an added advantage.
