A Wireless Engineer designs, implements, and maintains wireless communication networks. This includes tasks like designing wireless network layouts, configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring network security and performance. They will be involved in developing new wireless technologies and optimizing existing ones.
The main focus of this position will relate to support, design and maintenance of the Cisco wireless environment, but other duties will include the routine maintenance and support of SDWAN, switching and data centers for nVent’s 120+ locations globally.

In addition to these core responsibilities, Wireless Engineers may also be involved in:
- Developing custom wireless applications, conducting site surveys and RF analysis, working with various wireless technologies like Bluetooth, Zigbee, and other emerging technologies and managing and mentoring other team members.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in supporting wireless platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies.
- Fully bilingual.
- Knowledge of Cisco SDWAN are preferred.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- The Cisco certifications are not a requirement but are preferred for this position with either a CCNA, CCNP or CCIE.
