Data Center Technician

We are currently seeking a Data Center Technician to join one of our largest clients in Middenmeer. This role is well suited for someone with hands-on technical skills who enjoys working in a structured data center environment and following established standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform start-ups and shutdowns of data center equipment such as racks, hard drives, switches, and servers, following detailed instructions, checklists, and standard operating procedures
• Perform post-deployment quality checks, ensuring grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling meet safety requirements, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs)
• Carry out diagnostics and troubleshooting according to standard procedures, quickly identifying root causes and replacing faulty components (e.g., motherboards, CPUs, IPUs, memory)
• Decommission hardware for basic changes and refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds, in line with documented processes and with minimal supervision
• Communicate clearly, document work, and report or escalate incidents to the appropriate Data Center Technician Leads as required

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and internal components
• At least 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technologies
• Proven experience with troubleshooting and replacing defective hardware components
• Previous data center experience is considered a strong advantage
• Must live within a commutable distance of Middenmeer or be willing to relocate
• Must already be living in the Netherlands (no relocation support available for this role)
