Junior QA Engineer

This is a hybrid position based in Skopje. Team members are required to be in the office three days per week, with flexibility to select their in-office days based on personal preference and business needs.
What You'll Do
- Complete manual test cases and test scenarios with precision.
- Assist in crafting and maintaining comprehensive test plans and documentation.
- Identify, document, and track defects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Collaborate closely with developers, Product Owners, and QA team members to ensure outstanding product quality.
- Participate in test planning, sprint activities, and release validation.
- Support automation testing activities under the mentorship of senior QA engineers.
- Investigate and reproduce reported issues to determine their root cause.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and practices.
- Support production issue investigations when required.
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of software development and testing fundamentals.
- Internship, university projects, or practical QA experience is considered an advantage.
- Basic understanding of manual testing concepts and software testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with writing and accomplishing test cases.
- Fundamental understanding of web applications, APIs, and client-server architecture.
- Exposure to bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) is a plus.
- Having a fundamental understanding of automation testing concepts is beneficial.
- Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript is considered a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive attitude and problem-solving approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Dedication to software quality and consistent advancement.
- Fundamental understanding of Playwright or other automation frameworks.
- Understanding of API testing tools such as Postman.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Interest in automation, performance testing, and modern QA practices.
