Field Services Telecommunications Technician

We are looking for an Field Services Telecommunications Technician!

Responsabilities:

• Manage and monitor incidents and service requests.
• Prepare monthly operational reports.
• Provide Remote Hands & Eyes services in Data Centers.
• Install and maintain structured cabling (fiber optic and copper).
• Update technical documentation and network layouts using Microsoft Visio.
• Supervise installations and manage material acceptance.
• Coordinate activities with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
• Conduct site surveys, acceptance testing, and infrastructure validation.
• Monitor and supervise subcontractors.
• Participate in service management meetings.
• Support the operation and maintenance of critical telecommunications infrastructure.
• Validate technical layouts and infrastructure.
• Be available for regular travel and occasional out-of-hours interventions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical incidents.

Requirements:

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Telecommunications, Data Centers, or Network Infrastructure.
• Proven experience in telecommunications infrastructure.
• Experience working in Data Center environments.
• Experience with network infrastructure.
• Experience with structured cabling (fiber optic and copper).
• Experience with asset and infrastructure management platforms is considered an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Experience with fiber optic testing.
• Ability to interpret OTDR measurements.
• Knowledge of PMD (Polarization Mode Dispersion).
• Knowledge of CD (Chromatic Dispersion).
• Knowledge of optical connectivity.
• Experience with E2000/APC, LC/PC, LC/UPC, and similar optical connectors.
• Knowledge of -48V DC power systems used in telecommunications.
• Ability to validate technical layouts and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project.
