Proxy Network Engineer | PJ

As a Proxy Admin, you will be responsible for operating web-proxy-systems based on Fortinet’s Fortiproxy-platform and Bluecoat Proxy.

Responsibilities

•Operations of Fortiproxy-firewalls / Bluecoat Proxy

•Evaluate and configure proxy policy requests

•Handle Requests, Incidents, Changes and Problems (ServiceNow)

•Handling functions like web-contentfilter and SSL-interception

•Advise customers on how to secure their applications

•Communicate with different internal departments as well as external companies and vendors

•Work closely with our global network/security counterparts in London, New York and Singapore

•Follow company’s and regulator’s guidelines and ensure that internal and external requirements and standards are met

•Creating and keeping up-to-date documentation

•Working on internal and external audits

•Evaluation of new products

•Contribute as an effective team player in an agile team

•Rotational oncall support during Germany’s off business hours

Qualifications/Essential Skills

•Relevant professional training / qualifications in networking / computer studies

•Competence and understanding in the areas of Network Security, Firewall

•Understanding of Network Security principles and best practices

•Network theory and services (TCP/IP, UDP/IP, 7 layers of OSI, DNS, DHCP)

Professional Skills (technical, methodology and business)

•Web-Proxy-environments (preferred Fortiproxy)

•Fortinet-related products (Fortigate, Fortianalyzer, Fortimanager)

•User-based-authentication in proxy-environments (Active Directory)

•Web-contentfilter

•SSL-interception

•Loadbalancing

•Running and supporting high availability infrastructure

•Cloud-technologies

•Experience in operations of CISCO-devices (router/switches)

•Documentation of IT-infrastructures
