Telecom Field Specialist

What You'll Do

• Develop Communications & Network Connectivity Scope Definitions (CNCSD) for substation projects.
• Review substation electrical drawings to ensure communications and network requirements are met.
• Configure port assignments and support network and telecommunications device integration.
• Provide technical support throughout project execution and construction activities.
• Partner with engineering, construction, and project teams to resolve issues and support successful project delivery.
• Assist with communication infrastructure supporting secure and reliable operations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with fiber optic infrastructure and telecommunications networks.
• Strong understanding of IP networking and network infrastructure equipment.
• Experience supporting utility, substation, energy, or other critical infrastructure environments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and network documentation.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Telecommunications circuit troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of fiber-optic WAN technologies.
• Familiarity with cellular and satellite communication technologies.
• Experience supporting field construction and infrastructure deployment projects.
