Job Summary

The Audio-Visual Integration Technician is responsible for (1) pulling and terminating cables; (2) understanding cable flow and installation; (3) install equipment and wall rack equipment reading wire diagrams: and (4) programing proprietary equipment for the Company’s clients.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Dress, label, pull, cut and terminate cables
  • Installs, connects, and manages video routers and switches
  • Installation of cameras
  • Identify cable types including, but not limited to: SVID, Composite, RBGHV CAT 5, CAT 6, SDI, Fiber, HDMI, DVI
  • Mounts and dresses display of various sizes including wall panels
  • Programs various equipment
  • Troubleshoot client complex audio-video equipment
  • Manage inventory of repair and replacement parts including the recording of serial model numbers
  • Completes and updates daily reports, project photos, timecards and project status
  • Partners with co-workers and management to provide world-class customer service to clients
  • Complete all assigned projects in a high-quality manner and in compliance with scopes of project assignment
  • Adherence to company Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability

  • Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, cable toners, striping cables and network cable testers
  • Ability to dress racks
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate reflected ceiling plans, elevation drawings and room flow diagrams
  • Ability to identify and understand various source plates
  • Knowledge of basics of AC/DC voltage
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use various web-based portals
  • Ability to fit into tight spaces including ceiling access panels, closets, interstitial spaces
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer programs and operate mobile devices
  • Ability to make sound decisions and escalate matters quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.

Qualification Standards

Education

High School Diploma, technical trade school or equivalent

Experience

Minimum of two years of experience in audio-video integration technical environment

Physical Requirements/ Working Environment

The primary working environment is an indoor medical setting. This role requires 100% travel to reach project locations. Employees working in hazardous conditions and areas are required to comply with all applicable safety provisions and to use PPE.
