Information Technology System Network Administrator
Indexed description
We are hiring a hands-on IT, Network & Systems Administrator to own day-to-day IT service delivery and to operationalize Identity & Access Management and IT Asset Management as we build an ISO 9001 / ISO 27001 / SOC 2-ready ITSM foundation. You will run the service desk on ServiceDesk Plus, administer endpoints via Endpoint Central, manage the corporate network and systems, and execute the joiner-mover-leaver access lifecycle end to end. This is a builder-operator role: you will help write the procedures, then run them with audit-grade discipline. You will work alongside a senior IT Operations engineer and a security team, reporting to the Head of IT.
Qualifications & Experience — Must Have
- 4–7 years of hands-on IT administration experience covering Windows and Linux systems, Active Directory / modern IdP (SSO, MFA), and enterprise networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Demonstrable experience operating an ITSM tool (ServiceDesk Plus, Jira Service Management, Freshservice, or similar) with SLA-driven queues.
- Experience with endpoint management platforms (Endpoint Central / ManageEngine suite, Intune, or similar): imaging, software deployment, configuration policies.
- Practical experience executing user access lifecycle (provisioning/deprovisioning) in a controlled, approval-based environment.
- Working knowledge of asset management practices — inventory, tagging, lifecycle, license tracking.
- Exposure to AWS administration (IAM users/roles, EC2 basics) for corporate workloads.
- Strong documentation habits — SOPs, runbooks, knowledge articles.
Qualifications & Experience — Preferred
- Experience working in an ISO 27001 / SOC 2 certified environment and producing audit evidence.
- FortiGate exposure (VPN administration, basic policy literacy).
- Scripting for administration (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
- Experience integrating HRMS-driven JML workflows with ITSM tooling.
- Wazuh or other SIEM/EDR agent deployment experience.
Certifications
Priority
Certifications
Required / Strongly Preferred
- ITIL 4 Foundation; CompTIA Network+ or CCNA (or equivalent demonstrable networking competence); Microsoft/Linux administration certification (e.g., MD-102, AZ-104, RHCSA) — at least one of these.

- ManageEngine product certifications; AWS Cloud Practitioner / Solutions Architect Associate; CompTIA Security+.
Behavioural & Professional Competencies
- Service orientation with firm process discipline — able to say "raise a ticket" politely and consistently while maintaining goodwill.
- Precision and completeness in record-keeping; treats evidence as part of the job, not overhead.
- Clear written and verbal communication with non-technical users and senior stakeholders.
- Ownership mindset — drives tickets to closure, does not let items age silently.
- Comfortable in a build-from-scratch environment with evolving procedures.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, based at [Location]; onsite presence expected for asset, network, and user-facing duties as per policy.
- Participation in shared on-call roster for Priority 1 incidents and occasional planned maintenance outside business hours (compensated per policy).
- Background verification and signed confidentiality/acceptable-use undertakings are conditions of employment, consistent with ISO 27001 people controls (A.6.1, A.6.2, A.6.6).
