Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Consultant to support network infrastructure assessment, Cisco Catalyst 9300 deployment, and network migration activities. The role requires strong expertise in network infrastructure, switching technologies, structured cabling, deployment, migration, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure successful network transformation and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Assessment & Discovery :
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing network infrastructure.
• Document IDF/MDF locations, rack layouts, patch panels, cabling, network devices, and available rack capacity.
• Perform hardware audits, cabling validation, and port mapping activities.
• Develop and maintain network inventories, port matrices, and assessment reports.
• Identify infrastructure gaps, risks, and readiness requirements for deployment and migration activities.
• Cisco 9300 Deployment & Configuration :
• Validate received Cisco Catalyst 9300 equipment for completeness and operational readiness.
• Install, rack, label, and configure network switches according to deployment standards.
• Perform switch stacking, VLAN provisioning, interface configuration, and connectivity validation.
• Execute readiness testing and ensure all devices are prepared for migration and cutover activities.
• Maintain accurate deployment and configuration documentation.
• Network Migration & Cutover :
• Execute migration from legacy network infrastructure to Cisco Catalyst 9300 platforms.
• Perform patching and connectivity changes in accordance with approved migration plans and port matrices.
• Validate network connectivity and business service availability during and after migration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues to ensure minimal disruption.
• Support post-migration stabilization activities and performance validation.
• Deliver as-built documentation, configuration backups, migration reports, and project closure artifacts.

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, deployment, or consulting roles.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst 9300 switches and Cisco IOS-XE.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, VLANs, Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, STP, EtherChannel, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with structured cabling, patch panel management, and rack-and-stack activities.
• Proven experience in network deployment, migration, and infrastructure refresh projects.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• CCNA or CCNP Enterprise certification preferred.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale network transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with network assessment, migration planning, and operational readiness processes.
