Summary
As a Network Support Engineer (L1), you will be responsible for providing L1 level support for Global IT infrastructure. You will play a key role in monitoring network performance, handling bandwidth analysis, and coordinating with ISPs and third-party vendors for issue resolution.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Provide L1 level support for Global IT infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, Manage Engine, Cisco Prime, NAGIOS.
- Perform proactive monitoring of Cisco R&S, HP Aruba, Ruckus Wireless, WAN and ISP links.
- Handle bandwidth utilization analysis and generate availability and trend reports.
- Respond to alerts/notifications configured in monitoring systems.
- Carry out basic network operations: VLAN creation, port/user mapping, DHCP, wireless connectivity troubleshooting, etc.
- Coordinate with ISPs and third-party vendors for issue resolution.
- Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, Change & Configuration Management.
- Work with ticketing tools like ServiceNow for issue tracking and resolution.
- Proficiency in ticketing tool, SolarWinds, ServiceNow, and other network monitoring tools.
- Strong knowledge of Routing protocols, Virtual private networks (VPN), Switching protocols, and Wireless networking.
- Excellent communication skills for ISP coordination and international client coordination.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Suggested skills: Experience with Cisco CCNA/CCNP, ITIL certification, familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) would be a plus.

- 1 to 3 years of experience in a global IT support environment.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools and network gear.
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN bandwidth and performance monitoring.
- Experience in generating technical reports for clients or management.
- Exposure to global customer support environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Global IT support operations.
- Proficient in monitoring and ticketing tools.
- Understanding of ITIL framework and processes.
- CCNA certification is a strong advantage.
