About the Role
A leading enterprise organization is looking for a Network Operations Engineer to join its IT division and take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a large-scale enterprise network infrastructure, including over 1,000 network switches, 1,000+ wireless access points, core switches, routers, advanced firewall solutions, and supporting network services such as DNS and DHCP.
This is a hands-on role in a complex Enterprise environment, combining operational responsibility, technical troubleshooting, infrastructure projects, and close collaboration with Infrastructure, Information Security, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain a large-scale enterprise network infrastructure.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues.
- Provide Tier 1-Tier 2 network support to internal customers.
- Install, configure, replace, and maintain network equipment across multiple sites.
- Manage core switches, routers, wireless infrastructure, and network services.
- Participate in enterprise networking projects and infrastructure deployments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Information Security, vendors, and internal customers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Enterprise Network Operations.
- Hands-on experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise network environments.
- Experience providing Tier 1-Tier 2 network support in a Service Desk / Help Desk environment.
- Strong hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining networking equipment.
- Deep understanding of networking and routing protocols.
- 3+ years of experience managing large switching environments (500+ switches), including firmware upgrades, software updates, configuration hardening, and version management.
- 3+ years of experience managing large wireless environments (500+ access points), including software upgrades, firmware updates, and configuration hardening.
- Experience implementing or supporting large-scale networking projects.
- Strong experience managing DNS and DHCP services.
- Experience writing technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to users and colleagues.
- Cisco CCNA certification (or equivalent knowledge) - Required.
- Cisco CCNP - Advantage.
Advantages
- Experience with Next Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point, or similar).
- Experience with SolarWinds, BackBox, or other network monitoring platforms.
- Experience with Cisco DNA Center.
- Experience working with Linux servers.
- Experience in Microsoft environments.
- Certifications from leading vendors such as Palo Alto or Check Point.
