Network Support Engineer
London | Flexible Working & Competitive Benefits
£55,000–£65,000
Note: This role requires a flexible office presence. There will also be some client visits over time. Every candidate must be willing to work in-office and client-site when required.
If you're a Network Support Engineer who enjoys variety, ownership, and getting stuck into real technical challenges this could be a great opportunity for you.
This Network Support Engineer role sits within a growing managed services environment where no two days are the same. You’ll be working across multiple client networks, acting as a go-to Network Support Engineer for complex issues, while also getting involved in projects and improvements.
As a Network Support Engineer, you’ll split your time between hands-on support, proactive system work, and project delivery. There is plenty of room to develop internally and progress towards consultancy.
When it comes to vendors, having experience across various network vendors is great however, specific hands-on exposure to Cisco and FortiNet (FortiGate) would be highly beneficial.
What the role looks like day-to-day
- Acting as a senior escalation point, handling complex issues across firewalls (FortiGate), switches (Cisco), and WAN/LAN environments
- Keeping infrastructure stable while spotting opportunities to improve and optimise
- Supporting small projects and deployments alongside day-to-day support
- Working closely with clients and internal teams in a fast-paced environment
- Using your experience as a Network Support Engineer (ideally 3rd line) and strong fundamentals across DNS, DHCP, switching, firewalls, and WAN
- Any MSP experience is a bonus, not essential.
This opening will attract a significant number of applications. Only apply if you feel you have the required experience to carry out the main responsibilities listed above.
