Fiber Technician

OVERVIEW

We are seeking experienced Fiber Splicing Technicians to support a fiber infrastructure project in Temple, TX. This role will focus on ribbonized fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and light source/power meter testing to ensure high-quality fiber installations and network performance. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of fiber splicing experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment. This project is expected to run through December 4 and requires a commitment to a six-day work schedule.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2-3 years of fiber splicing experience
• Proven experience with ribbonized fiber splicing
• Experience using:
• OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer)
• Light source/power meter testing equipment
• Ability to work independently and maintain quality standards in a production environment

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Must successfully pass a drug screening
• Must possess OSHA 10 certification

Schedule: Monday - Satuday

• Monday- Friday 6:30 am - 5:30 PM
• Saturday- 6:30 am - 3:30 PM

Compensation:

$23/hr to $35/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
