Senior Network Engineer
We are partnering with a well-established international organisation based in Geneva to recruit an experienced Network Engineer who enjoys combining technical expertise with a strong customer-oriented mindset. This position offers broad ownership of network infrastructure within a stable environment where reliability, security and service quality are essential.
Responsibilities
Design, implement and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations.
Manage and improve LAN, WAN and remote connectivity services while ensuring high availability and performance.
Administer routing, switching, VPN connectivity, wireless infrastructure and network security solutions.
Participate in infrastructure upgrades, technology refresh projects and network architecture improvements.
Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks and proactively implement corrective actions.
Investigate and resolve complex incidents while providing high-quality support to internal stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity and systems teams on cross-functional initiatives.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and network diagrams.
Support business continuity initiatives and contribute to disaster recovery planning.
Travel occasionally to European offices for deployments, maintenance activities or project support.
Required Experience
At least 10 years of experience managing enterprise network infrastructures.
Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco networking technologies.
Solid knowledge of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs and network security principles.
Experience with firewalls, wireless environments and network monitoring tools.
Good understanding of high-availability and resilient network architectures.
Experience working in structured, business-critical environments where service quality is a priority.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to manage incidents independently.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
Fluent English is mandatory together with a very good command of French.
