Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise SI Test Engineers and Technicians supporting global manufacturing regions.
- Own technical direction for development, integration, and upgrades for the SI Test Support Lab.
- Provide technical oversight for electrical testing, data analysis, and root cause investigations.
- Provide technical oversight for failure analysis for issues that occur on the production line as well as returns from customers and assist MQA team.
- Provide technical oversight on some product validation testing.
- Mentor and develop team members through coaching and performance feedback.
- Champion continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with Molex quality, environmental, and safety systems.
Provides day-to-day supervision and technical leadership with accountability for team performance, technical quality, and project delivery.
EDUCATION
Required: B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
Preferred: M.S. Degree in Engineering.
Work Experience
Required: 5+ years of experience in test and measurement with demonstrated technical leadership.
Preferred: 7+ years of progressive engineering experience with manufacturing support exposure.
Skills & Abilities
- Extensive experience with RF/microwave test and measurement equipment such as digital sampling oscilloscopes, TDR modules, 4-port network analyzers, and bit error rate testers.
- Working knowledge of RF/microwave transmission line theory including s-parameters, Fourier transformers, characteristic impedance, eye diagrams, time-domain analysis, cross talk, bit error rate testing, jitter analysis, etc.
- Experience in troubleshooting, failure analysis, and root cause for high speed products
- Strong leadership and communication skills with global teams.
- Expertise in high-speed signal integrity and RF test equipment.
- Strong analytical and root cause problem-solving capability.
