Overview

Bachner Electro USA is seeking a Security Estimator to develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial and industrial electronic security and access control projects. In this role, you’ll collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver well-designed, cost-effective solutions that support successful project execution..

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, and dress Category (Cat5–Cat6A) and fiber optic cabling
• Test installed cabling using appropriate certification equipment
• Install and configure racks, cable trays, patch panels, cabinets, and workstation outlets
• Perform MDF/IDF buildouts and ensure proper cable management
• Interpret blueprints and system layouts to execute installations accurately
• Operate lifts and adhere to ladder safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and client representatives
• Maintain quality standards and meet project deadlines

Qualifications

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform detailed system takeoffs using Bluebeam Revu
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Develop bid proposals and project budgets
• Quantify and scope system components including access control devices, cameras, and supporting infrastructure
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers on pricing, product selection, and system design
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs
• Support project handoff to operations teams upon award
• Maintain accurate estimating records and track bid outcomes
