Are you an experienced IT professional looking to combine hands-on technical work with team leadership in an environment where your expertise directly supports patient care?
We're partnering with a leading international MedTech organisation to recruit a Senior IT Specialist & Team Lead who will play a pivotal role in connecting advanced medical devices with modern hospital IT infrastructures while leading a small team of IT Specialists.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare, medical technology and IT, supporting hospitals across Germany and Central & Northern Europe while acting as the technical lead for the department. You'll combine customer-facing implementation projects with people leadership, stakeholder management and strategic involvement across the business.
What can you expect?
- Lead and support a team of IT Specialists, providing technical guidance, mentoring and day-to-day leadership.
- Act as the technical representative for the IT department, participating in local management meetings and collaborating with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Oversee the integration of advanced medical devices into complex hospital IT and network environments.
- Support complex customer implementations, software installations and technical troubleshooting across Germany and, where required, internationally.
- Work closely with Technical Service, Sales, Marketing and international colleagues to deliver innovative healthcare solutions.
- Contribute to technical demonstrations, customer meetings and industry congresses, providing expert advice on IT integration and networking requirements.
We're looking for someone with:
- A background in IT, System Integration, Network Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least five years' experience in a technical IT role, ideally including experience leading or mentoring a team.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP and Windows Server environments.
- Experience troubleshooting LAN/WLAN infrastructures and supporting complex software implementations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to represent the department internally and externally.
- A customer-focused mindset and willingness to travel within Germany and occasionally across Central and Northern Europe.
