Cybersecurity Analyst

Oliver James are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to help protect our clients systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The successful candidate will monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, identify vulnerabilities, and implement security controls to reduce risk. You will work closely with IT teams to maintain compliance, respond to emerging threats, and support a strong security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyse security events and alerts.
  • Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation.
  • Maintain and improve security tools and controls.
  • Support compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare security reports and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of network security, operating systems, and security best practices.
  • Experience with security monitoring tools and incident response.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or CISSP are a plus.
