Job Overview
Senior, hands-on Network Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and operating Cadence’s global enterprise network across data centres, campus environments, and WAN. This role focuses on delivering secure, highly available connectivity and leading high-impact initiatives with clear, measurable outcomes.
You will bring deep technical expertise, strong operational discipline, and the ability to lead complex network programmes from design through Day 2 operations, working closely with cross-functional partners across IT and Security
Job Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable, resilient data centre and campus network solutions using Cisco, Arista, HPE, and Aruba platforms
- Support WAN operations including internet edge and SD-WAN integrations, ensuring consistent routing and security posture
- Lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis; implement preventive changes to reduce incidents and unplanned outages
- Partner with teams across Data Centre, Storage, Virtualisation, Windows, Unix, Cloud Ops, and Security to provide technical direction and deliver cross-domain initiatives
- Establish and maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and runbooks; ensure designs are supportable and operationally ready
- Operationalise delivered solutions for Day 2 operations, including monitoring and alerting, capacity planning, lifecycle management, and change/release processes
- Communicate status, risks, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders; manage deliverables, timelines, and dependencies across multiple initiatives
- 12–15 years of experience in enterprise network architecture, design, deployment, and operations (data center, campus, WAN and hybrid cloud).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Cisco certification required (CCNP preferred; CCIE a strong plus)
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating enterprise networks across data centre, campus, WAN, and hybrid cloud environments
- Expert knowledge of routing and switching technologies (e.g. BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN) and high-availability designs (MLAG/vPC, LACP)
- Strong foundation in network security principles, including segmentation, ACLs, firewall integrations, and secure remote access, with experience partnering closely with Security teams
- Hands-on experience with NAC/AAA solutions, such as Cisco ISE and/or Aruba ClearPass
- Proven ability to lead complex troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident response, with disciplined change, risk, and lifecycle management practices
- Experience designing solutions that are operationally ready, including monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and documentation
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into clear, executive-ready options and recommendations
- Experience with SD-WAN design and operations and hybrid connectivity patterns
- Exposure to Cisco VPN, F5 Load Balancers, or similar technologies
- Experience with network automation, observability, telemetry, or scripting to improve reliability and reduce MTTR
