Executive Summary: The Desktop Monitoring & Tools (DMT) is a proactive WSS monitoring functional team, tasked with hygiene, stability and proactive problem identification across both ISG and WM business with focuses on desktop/laptop/virtual, infrastructure stability and performance. This includes health checks of the desktop environment (OS and application updates, hardware capacity, standard configuration across multiple platforms, etc.), proactive monitoring, and alert management. The team works across a myriad of resolution and escalation teams to ensure ongoing operational health of the end-user environment.

Responsibilities include:
- Monitor the desktop and infrastructure stability using a combination of tools, including but not limited to, SysTrack, Splunk, ExtraHop, SevOne, for alerts, and performance metrics for the environment.
- Respond to alerts, perform first-level triage, and escalate to resolvers as necessary
- Identify environmental issues and participate in the problem management process
- Perform drift management against core applications
- Perform software remediation for escalated devices post-deployments
- Ensure PC environment is running optimally and remediate any health issues
- Create and update reporting records for monitored items and newly discovered issues
- Knowledge Mgmt Process - Review and validate technical solutions; also provide feedback to improve the knowledge repository
- Proactively identify process gaps and recommends solutions
- Monitor desktop/laptop/virtual for a variety of end users, and work with resolver teams on corrective actions
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Excellent knowledge of Windows 10 Operating System
- Prior knowledge of VMware and Citrix
- Intermediate Knowledge of MS Exchange/Messaging applications, including but not limited to: Office365 suite, Zoom and Symphony
- Excellent communication skills
- Good report creation skills
Would be a plus to have:
- Working knowledge of PowerShell, VBScript, Command-line, JavaScript, and HTML
- Intermediate knowledge of Network Architecture and Topologies
- Knowledge of monitoring tools for network and workstations, including but not limited to: Splunk, SysTrack, SevOne, and Corvil.
