Information Technology System Network Administrator

TWM is seeking an experienced IT professional to maintain, administer, and enhance information technology infrastructure and services across all TWM locations. This position will have a primary focus on network infrastructure while also administering systems, virtualization, storage, backup, security, and overall infrastructure operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT professional with experience administering production network and server infrastructure who enjoys solving technical challenges, improving infrastructure reliability, and maintaining secure and reliable technology systems. This role works closely with the IT Manager while independently managing day-to-day infrastructure operations, collaborating with external technology partners, and helping develop the IT Specialist's infrastructure skills and knowledge.

Experience Level: 4+ years of progressive IT experience, including hands-on administration of production network and/or server infrastructure in a business environment

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, with the possibility of overtime

Location: Based in Swansea, IL

Salary: $65,000-$80,000 annually – salary is commensurate with experience

This position is intended for an experienced infrastructure professional or an advanced IT technician who is ready to transition into a Network & Systems Administrator role. Candidates should have experience administering production network or server environments and be comfortable independently managing assigned infrastructure responsibilities while collaborating with the IT Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, administer, and improve enterprise network infrastructure across multiple office locations, including switching, firewalls, wireless connectivity, VPNs, and related technologies.
• Configure and troubleshoot network services including TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and connectivity issues.
• Monitor network and system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and procedures.
• Administer and maintain Windows server infrastructure, Active Directory, directory services, operating systems, and cloud-based technologies.
• Administer virtualization platforms, storage environments, backup solutions, and disaster recovery processes.
• Plan and perform infrastructure maintenance including server patching, upgrades, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Serve as the primary escalation resource for Tier 2/3 infrastructure-related issues involving servers, networking, virtualization, and enterprise systems.
• Administer endpoint management, software deployment, and device administration processes.
• Collaborate with the IT Manager, IT Specialist, and external technology partners to design, implement, and improve infrastructure solutions.
• Execute infrastructure projects and technology improvements while collaborating with the IT Manager on future planning initiatives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing with the IT Specialist to support continued infrastructure skill development.

Qualifications Desired:

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Administrator, or similar role
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including:
• TCP/IP
• VLANs
• Routing and switching
• DHCP and DNS
• Wireless networking
• VPN technologies
• Experience administering enterprise network infrastructure and Microsoft-based server environments.
• Hands-on experience administering virtualization platforms, storage, backup solutions, and disaster recovery processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage projects, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CCNA certification or equivalent networking experience preferred.
• Experience with enterprise networking, firewall, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and cloud-based technologies preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve production network and server infrastructure issues.
• Experience supporting business-critical production environments with responsibility for maintaining and troubleshooting infrastructure services.
