Title: Telecommunication Deployment Technician

Overview

We are hiring a hands-on Deployment Technician to support onsite work, including site surveys, phone placement validation, structured cutover support, and day-of go-live activities.

This role is ideal for telecommunications and network support technicians who enjoy field work.

Key Responsibilities

Site Surveys & Pre-Deployment Work

• Conduct detailed site surveys across multiple facilities and office buildings
• Identify all existing phone locations, wall plates, labels, and cabling pathways
• Validate data drop locations and ensure network ports are correctly identified
• Coordinate closely with the lead technician and engineering teams

Deployment & Cutover Support

• Stage, place, and connect new VoIP phones
• Verify connectivity and assist with basic troubleshooting during cutovers
• Provide in-person support to end users during go-live windows
• Ensure phone configurations match project requirements and expected layouts
• Serve as onsite support during all major cutover events

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work directly with the project lead to meet timeline expectations
• Collaborate with network engineers as needed (no deep engineering required)
• Communicate clearly with end users to understand issues and escalate appropriately
• Follow structured processes to support consistent, high-quality deployment

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience as a Telecommunications Technician, Network Technician, Phone Technician, VoIP Support Technician, or similar
• Hands-on experience with Avaya and/or Cisco phone systems
• Basic understanding of network drops, patching, and switch port assignments
• Ability to interpret floor plans, site maps, and cabling diagrams
• High attention to detail—precision and accuracy are essential
• Strong communication skills when working with end users
• Ability to work overnight shifts during deployment periods
