ROLE SUMMARY
The Specialist, Infrastructure (System Admin.) is responsible for providing efficient administrative assistance to the IT team to ensure smooth operations within the department, managing daily office operations, and supporting IT-specific administrative functions.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, deploy, and maintain server infrastructure in accordance with the company's needs.
Monitor and optimize server performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
Conduct regular system audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot server hardware and software components.
Implement and manage virtualization technologies for efficient resource utilization.
Implement security measures to safeguard server infrastructure.
Adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular security assessments and apply necessary updates and patches.
Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data.
Examine and validate backup and recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide effective IT solutions by understanding business needs.
Provide technical support to address server-related issues and incidents.
Knowledge of M365 applications and services.
Available on-call to address emergencies and accessible 24/7 availability.
Provide regular reports on server performance, capacity, and security
Provide and maintain detailed documentation for server configurations, procedures, and best practices.
QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
-A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a System Administrator or related field.
- L1 and L2 technical support for Network Printers, MS Teams, Outlook, and Exchange.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Identity technologies including Active Directory Group Policies.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory and 0365 integration.
- Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory and AD migration projects.
- Strong knowledge in administering Active Directory (AD) and GPOs.
- Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS, and DFS in the Windows 2012 and Windows 2016 landscapes.
- Manage Activity Directory and DNS, File Sharing, Azure AD, and Exchange Admin Center.
- Ability to install, configure, and manage windows server 201212016.'2019.
- Manage data backup and recovery.
- Manage Symantec endpoint Protection and McAfee Endpoint Security.
- Virtualization - vSphere VMware, vCenter, ESXI, and Hyper V.
- Confidentiality and Organizational skills.
