Role Overview
We are seeking a pragmatic and highly skilled IT Systems Administrator to manage our local infrastructure and client-side technology. This role is unique: while we are a cloud-forward company, we maintain a strategic on-premise presence for disaster recovery and business continuity.
Your philosophy should be "minimalist but resilient"—running only what is essential and ensuring that local hardware is always ready to act as a failover for our global operations. You will work in tight synchronization with our Hybrid Cloud and DevOps teams to bridge the gap between our Budapest office and our international nodes.
Key Responsibilities
- Hybrid Infrastructure Support: Manage on-premise servers and branch office PCs, ensuring they are perfectly integrated with our private cloud environment
- Business Continuity & DR: Implement and maintain local "essential-only" services designed to keep the business running in the event of a cloud outage
- Multi-OS Administration: Provide expert support and management for a diverse fleet of hardware, including Windows, macOS, and Linux (Desktop and Server)
- Network & Connectivity: Configure and maintain secure VPN tunnels to ensure remote employees and branch office have stable, encrypted access to resources
- SaaS & Productivity Management: Serve as the primary administrator for Microsoft 365 (Azure AD/Entra ID, Exchange, Teams) and other core business software
- Hardware Lifecycle: Oversee the procurement, imaging, deployment, and decommissioning of all local IT assets
- Security Compliance: Enforce endpoint security policies and ensure all local machines are patched, encrypted, and compliant with company standards
Must have Qualifications/Experiences
- Min. 4+ years as a System Administrator or IT Manager, preferably in a tech-centric or financial services company
- Advanced proficiency in Windows Server/Client, macOS (Jamf/Intune experience is a plus), and Linux (Ubuntu/Debian)
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and VPN (OpenVPN, WireGuard, or IPsec)
- Deep knowledge of M365 administration, focusing on security groups, identity management, and cloud-to-local synchronization
- Proven experience in designing local failover systems and maintaining "minimalist" on-premise server environments
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with high-level DevOps and Cloud engineers on shared infrastructure projects.
- Fluent English for technical documentation and coordination with international team members
Preferred Knowledge
- Experience with basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) to automate local deployments
- Familiarity with Proxmox, VMware, or Hyper-V for local server consolidation.
- Ability to diagnose and repair server and workstation hardware issues locally
What we offer
- Competitive Salary: A top-tier compensation package tailored to your experience and the global market
- Ownership Stake: Employee Share Options (ESOP), allowing you to directly benefit from the company’s long-term growth and success
- Professional Growth: Access to International Conferences (US, Europe, and beyond) to stay at the forefront of your field
- Premium Mobility: A Company Car provided as part of your compensation package (subject to role/seniority level)
- Daily Perks: Complimentary lunch, snacks, and premium coffee to keep you fueled throughout the day
- International Environment: The opportunity to work in a truly global setting with sister companies in the US and EU
