At KBC Group, we are transforming the way employees, partners, and systems securely access applications and the internet. As a Junior Secure Connectivity Engineer, you will help operate and support the secure connectivity services used across KBC.

You will work with technologies such as Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway, and remote access solutions including Ivanti VPN. Together, these platforms provide secure internet access, application access, and remote connectivity for tens of thousands of users across multiple countries.

You will become part of a team responsible for maintaining, improving, and supporting these critical services. Through hands-on experience, coaching from experienced colleagues, and participation in projects, you will gradually build expertise in modern secure access technologies and Zero Trust architectures.

You will collaborate with architects, security specialists, product owners, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders while learning how secure connectivity platforms are designed, operated, and evolved within a large enterprise environment.

As your knowledge grows, you will have the opportunity to contribute to automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Straight-Through Processing (STP).

What your job will be:

  • Support the daily operation of secure connectivity platforms including Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, Skyhigh SWG, Ivanti VPN services.
  • Investigate and help resolve incidents, user requests, and connectivity-related issues.
  • Assist in troubleshooting authentication, policy, and application access problems.
  • Execute standard operational tasks and contribute to platform maintenance activities.
  • Support the onboarding of applications and users onto secure access platforms.
  • Work closely with application teams and internal customers to provide secure and reliable connectivity solutions.
  • Contribute to monitoring, reporting, documentation, and operational improvements.
  • Learn and gradually participate in automation initiatives using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Collaborate with team members, vendors, and other technical teams to solve operational challenges.
  • Document procedures, solutions, and lessons learned.
  • Continuously develop your technical knowledge and share insights with colleagues

What we expect from You:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, networking, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interest in networking, cybersecurity, and secure access technologies.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, routing, firewalls, proxies, authentication, and access control.
  • Eagerness to learn modern security concepts such as Zero Trust and Secure Service Edge (SSE).
  • Analytical mindset and willingness to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, or programming is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments is a plus.
  • Experience through internships, labs, personal projects, or academic work is considered an asset.
  • Agile mindset and willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
