- An 8140 compliant certification (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP, CISA).
- Foundational knowledge of network design, OSI model, TCP/IP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Ability to travel to alternate work locations for deployments and field projects.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.
The Work
The Network Engineer II will serve as the primary Network Development Engineer for the C2BMC program, supporting the design, build‑out, deployment, integration, and testing of network upgrades to operational sites. Working within an Agile Scrum team, you will translate customer requirements and contract obligations into actionable plans, travel to remote locations for installations and troubleshooting, and provide status updates to program personnel. Flexibility to respond to real‑world events, including nights and weekends, is essential.

Desired Skills
- Experience with multi vendor switching/routing (Juniper, Cisco) and WAN optimizers.
- Proficiency in firewall technologies (Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
- Knowledge of UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and advanced TCP/IP designs.
- Hands on expertise with network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with TACLANE devices and optical transport equipment.
- Ability to work within Agile/Scrum frameworks and manage contract driven deliverables.
- Preferred: Active Top Secret clearance.
Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
