Our Team
The IT Infrastructure team at Semtech supports a global workforce of approximately 2,100 users across 30+ sites in North America, EMEA, and APAC, owning the full stack from on-premises virtualization, enterprise networking, cloud platforms and servers. The team drives strategic initiatives while maintaining day-to-day reliability of all systems. Members collaborate cross-functionally with security, EDA/engineering, and business stakeholders to design and deliver scalable, resilient solutions across a complex, distributed environment.
Job Summary
This role requires both hands-on technical depth and the ability to contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy in a fast-moving semiconductor company. The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and operational excellence of Semtech's global network infrastructure, spanning 30+ sites across North America, EMEA, and APAC. This role owns a broad technology portfolio including Palo Alto next-generation firewalls, Aryaka SD-WAN, LAN/WAN architecture, Cisco L2/L3 network devices, and cloud networking across AWS and Azure environments. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise across routing, switching, firewall policy, and network security, combined with the ability to lead strategic initiatives such as zero-trust adoption, VPN modernization, and cross-regional connectivity projects. Working closely with the IT Infrastructure, Security, and Cloud teams, this role plays a key part in ensuring network resilience, performance, and security for a fast-growing global semiconductor company.
Responsibilities
- Support IT Engineering, IT Support and EDA teams on network related topics
- Maintain our actual infrastructure (Patching, devices lifecycle,…)
- Design and implement new solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred), or equivalent work experience
- 5-8 years of experience in network administration, IT engineering, or related role
- Comprehensive knowledge of networking principles and practices
- Advanced experience with network architecture and technology integration
- Demonstrated success in network leadership in a technical environment
- Advanced knowledge of networking principles and practices
- Comprehensive understanding of routing protocols, switching technologies, and network security
- Expert proficiency with network management tools, monitoring systems, and security platforms
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in network design and implementation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities with systematic approach
- Expert understanding of network security, compliance, and risk management
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions

- Experience with network automation and software-defined networking

- Professional certification in networking (CCNP, CCDP, etc.) required
