Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, science, math, or business fields plus three years experience in internetworking support of Cisco hardware and software in a LAN/WAN environment or Cisco router network design. Experience must include Cisco switch/router, Cisco IP Telephony, or Network Management Systems tools such as HPOV, VitalNet, CiscoWorks plus Routing, IP addressing, VLANs, GigE Ethernet experience. Must have MS Office Professional/Visio skills. Requires CCNP certification. Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record. Subject to 24-hour call out. Knowledge of Cisco’s AVVID architecture, QOS, Network Security, Network Operating Systems, Protocol Analyzer, other network diagnostic equipment is a plus. A seven year combination of specified education and experience will qualify. MSCE, Cisco CCNP, CIPT Support Specialist certification will substitute for one year of the required education.
For current posting as PBX Network Analyst II: The primary responsibility for this position is to deliver high level support for 9-1-1 and other Contact Centers. The support of 9-1-1 requires an individual who understands action urgency, self-motivation, is results-oriented, and a seasoned professional who can comfortably adapt within a changing environment. A high level of technical expertise on the latest communications solutions and technology will be essential.
